Welcome

I am a young and enthusiastic artist who works in a variety of media including oil paint, watercolour paint, pencils, charcoal, chalk pastels and oil pastels. One of my favourite themes is the human body and I enjoy completing art works based on this and the idea of perfection.  One piece included in a previous project was a pastel drawing of a nude woman with a mastectomy scar on one breast which was exhibited at an art show in a village near me. I later received a letter from a woman who had previously had a mastectomy, who highlighted that she appreciated my  work and said that she felt represented. This has been a formative influence on me and has inspired me to continue creating art that means something to people. Recently I have been lucky enough to have completed a range of commissioned pieces. These have included many pet portraits in both oil paint and chalk pastels and also some images of family which capture a precious memory and moment in time.
To me art has always been a cathartic experience and is a way for me to express my thoughts and ideas though creating. I am currently studying a degree in Fine Art and am exploring many new ways of working.
